Pinkie Finger Press celebrates the natural wonders of life in northern Michigan through art and writing. We just released our first series, an alphabet reflection on life near the 45th parallel of Michigan.

Northern Michigan artist, Ashlea Walter, was inspired to paint an Up North Alphabet for her two birdies, Wren (8) and Phoebe (5).

The watercolor painted letters represent the unique natural beauty and wonder of northern Michigan. From the classic, P is for Petoskey Stone or S is for Sleeping Bear, to the more esoteric, Z is for Zebra Mussel or K is for Kirtland’s Warbler, children and adults alike will learn and appreciate the iconic wonders of northern Michigan through this whimsical take on the special place that is lovingly known as the “Pinkie Finger” region of Michigan.
